I'm very pleased to post that services are now fully available in the Petrolia area. We had a few bumps getting things fully stabilized, as with any new system - but everything is working well now, and we are fully ready to start installing customers.
If you are interested in service, please email survey@sunflowerwireless.com
A survey request can also be opened by using our support ticket system.
I've scheduled initial deployment (pending weather) work to begin this Friday, February 16th.
The DSL Data Feed has been installed, and I've received the AP equipment as well as the initial batch of 3 CPE's.
Pricing has also been set, with two options:
Plan A:
Installation Fee: $250 due at installation
Equipment Ownership: Customer (1 year warranty)
Monthly Fee: $39.95
Term Commitment: None
Benifits: Lower monthly rate
Plan B:
Installation Fee: $50 due at installation
Equipment Ownership: Sunflower (lifetime equipment warranty)
Monthly Fee: $49.95
Term Commitment: None
Benifits: If your equipment fails it will be repaired or replaced at our cost, and if you decided to cancel service you aren't stuck with equipment you don't have a use for.
Please note that the installation charge includes the radio equipment, antenna, and standoff mounting bracket (or mounting to some existing antenna mast). Standard installation does *not* include a tripod/pole if it is necessary for your location, and additional charges would be applicable.

Sunflower Wireless, a new Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) in Southeast Kansas is poised to begin delivering broadband wireless internet access to the community of Petrolia, Ks and surrounding area.
A small buisness put together by Petrolia resident Mike Thomas and former Petrolia resident Nick Bright, we have formed ourselves with the intent of providing quality high speed Internet access to the area.
Our network is small, and will probably stay that way, covering approximatly a 9 square mile area centered at the west side of town.
Please watch this space for more information soon to come.
